For this assignment, I continued editing the newsletter I created last semester.

I added more details in to my life and my personal brand. With this assignment,

I became familiar with preflight data. With the preflight file that was created for

us, I could see if any objects were outside of the boundaries.

 

To apply the file to the document I clicked Window > Output > Preflight and

selected the DIGM 2017 Newsletter file. Upon opening it, I immediately noticed I

had a few errors that were not up to the preflight standards. What had to do was

make sure that none of my images were scaled in InDesign, image editing was to

be done strictly in Photoshop. I used this newsletter to showcase my various skills

in design.

 

To set the file to print as a booklet, I exported the PDF in InDesign with full

marks and bleeds, and opened PREPs. I created a job with 2 pages on each sheet.

I made sure that the file had crop and bleed marks as well. After importing the

PDF file, I added my signature to the sheet(s). I clicked print, and printed the file

as a PDF.
