Problem Clean up a dirty or messy image. Make the necessary light and color adjustments. Solution I cleaned an image of a cluttered, overgrown alleyway. The assignment was completed in Photoshop. A+

Problem Take an ordinary image and manipulate it. Solution This assignment took some creativity. I cut up an apple into the shape of a laptop, captured it with my camera, and then shot an image of my laptop sitting on my desk. I edited the photographs in Photoshop to make a playful image which illustrated a literal interpretation of "apple computer". A+

Problem Apply a motion blur effect to a photograph. Solution I shot a photograph of my SUV parked on a country road. Then, in Photoshop, I masked off the SUV body and applied a motion blur to the road and background. I also applied a radial motion blur to the wheels of the SUV. Add a bit of dust around the wheels and it's now flying down a country road. Within the speed limit of course. But where is the driver? Oops. A

Problem Tell a story with a photograph. Solution Rather than use multiple people for this assignment, I cast myself as a series of characters. I did this by careful camera placement and some simple cropping in Photoshop. A+

Problem Take two Photographs and combine them as one. Solution I shot a photo of an interstate sign and then another photo of a blank brick wall. I masked off the sign, made some transparency adjustments, and erased some of the sign to make it appear like aged and neglected graffiti. The assignment was completed in Photoshop. A

Problem Shoot a series of Photographs from visually appealing perspectives. Make necessary light correction and color adjustments. Solution I shot this image of my SUV in a field near my house. I really like the colors in this picture. I took the image to capture the attitude of the SUV and flatter the harsh angles and lines of the boxy body. The edits were made in Photoshop. A+
