Graphic Production Process Control

This course serves as a very important part of my major coursework as it familiarized me with the necessary control processes and best practices that need to be adhered to in order to provide the highest possible quality for graphic communications products. Some of the skills learned were using databases to create variable data marketing materials, imposing pages for different type of printing jobs, and how to profile different marking engines in order to provide the best image reproduction possible. As a final project for this course I produced an eight-page, saddled-stitched, 5in X 7.75in booklet in gray-scale. I had to follow these technical requirements; at least four pages with a bleed object, reproducing a scanned film image, including a vector object, and so on. I imposed the final project in Kodak Preps software then printed, cut, and stitched. This booklet is also part of my physical portfolio.
