Characters

SaM E. Gibbs

Sam is a veteran investigator struggling to come to terms with his past.  Being a man who has lost those important in his life, and also feeling responsible for the failure to bring his murdered daughter to justice, Sam feels an incredible remorse.  When it comes to things that remind him of his past, he has a strong urge to ignore or shut out that past and turn the other way.

Marsha Gibbs

Deceased, natural causes.  Sam E. Gibbs’ wife passed away prior to the murder of his daughter.  He had a strong, healthy relationship with his whole family, but after she died his daughter was the only
one close to him he could cling to.

Ana Gibbs

Sam and Marsha Gibbs’ daughter.  She was murdered by a mysterious culprit, whom Sam was unable to bring to justice.  Sam personally investigated the case, and blames himself for the lack of justice Ana never received.  She was 15 at the time of her murder.  (1 year prior to the setting of our story.)

Harold Andrews

Also known as Chief Andrews, Harold is a tough, but fair police chief.  He believes in the betterment of the department, but sometimes his pursuit for the department clouds his ability to notice the issues those
around him are going through.

Archer McGraw

Archer is Sam’s fellow investigator, and probably the closest one in his life prior to the death of his daughter.  Archer is Sam’s “link” to the normality of the world, and one of the few people who can help calm him down when he’s struggling.  (He serves as Sam’s “lifeline” in his times of need.)  Despite the presence of Archer, however, Sam can’t rely on him forever. Ultimately he will need to come to terms with himself if he ever wants to fully forgive himself for his past.
