But what does that even mean? For an admittedly vague term, DIGITAL MEDIA is more powerful than its name suggests.

 

It is the lines that connect the stars in a constellation, giving shape and providing clarity to individual shining points.
These links create grander ideas that resonate with people at a deeper level than loose, disconnected concepts.

 

This is how you create a message with impact.

This is how you tell a story.

 

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with all facets of storytelling. Whether it be simply for the sake of entertainment or for communicating a particular message, I couldn't get enough of it. I would beg my parents to let me borrow the family camcorder to record my short stories and then I would somehow wrangle my siblings to star in them.

I guess eventually my parents grew tired of my persistent requests because at about 8 years old I remember excitedly operating the camera by myself.

 

A couple of years have gone by since then — okay, maybe more than a couple — but I am undoubtedly that same kid.
In fact, my love for stories has only strengthened as I have learned more techniques and tools to share these stories.

 

When I was younger, my family used to call me the Taunster...and I kind of hated it. I bashfully shuddered with a little embarrassment each time someone used it in public. As I grew  a bit older, it didn't take long for me to fully embrace the endearing moniker as something that actually identified me pretty well.

 

Though my experience has now stretched beyond the family room walls into classrooms and productions across the country,

I hope to always hang onto my inner Taunster Monster.
