For the top image shown, I used Photoshop to apply gray scale mode on my classmates’ and my portrait photos. I made two copies of each photo and profiled them to a two dot gain setting. One is at 0% dot gain and other is at 28% dot gain.

For the bottom poster, I also used Photoshop to apply custom dot gain with our lab’s printer setting (Xerox Phaser 5550DN Black and White Laser Jet Printer) to my classmates’ and my portrait photos. This allowed me to compare them with photos at 0% dot gain.
